first_imgVodafone users are up in arms.Vodafone users in West Donegal have slammed the network provider for what they’ve described as an ‘unacceptable service’ over the last number of months.Despite strenuous efforts by users to Vodafone customer service personnel – their pleas for the situation to be resolved seems to have fallen on deaf ears.A spokesman at the global communications giant have stressed that they have made efforts to upgrade the service. Some locals have already left the network provider, after finally resigning themselves to the fact the problems were never going to be sorted.Catherine O’Donnell posted on her Facebook timeline, “To Vodafone Ireland, well I finally plucked up the courage and left your network after having s**t coverage for nearly a year.”“I went with 3 perfect coverage. Happy days. Hope many more follow as you don’t deserve customers.”Another local man Gerry Reynolds also expressed that he too had also had enough of their service, and like Catherine switched networks. Gerry said, “I left last week after repeatedly emails, calls and tweets that fell on deaf ears joined the new ID network and perfect signal and even 4g – Vodafone stick it up your a**e.”“Everybody on Vodafone should move and then even when they do decide to do something about it they will have no customers left. “The problem preventing other locals from switching network providers, is due to the fact many customers are tied down to contracts with Vodafone. They’re unable to get out of the contract until it finishes.Theresa McGonagle wrote, “I’m waiting hard on contract to finish too so I can change. Vodafone is brutal, can’t wait to leave them. Pathetic Service.” Some locals are advising that by law they may be able to get out of their contracts earlier that the terms and conditions initially agreed.Nicole Logan wrote, “I left three months ago, I was still was in contract. “But because I complained so much (as much as I could without service!!) and they kept promising they would fix it, they didn’t meet their promises as a company so by law I could leave my contract.”“Brutal service!!” Earlier this week Michelle Magee wrote, “What the flook is going on with the Vodafone signal??“Signal has never been great but now all my phone says is constantly ‘No Service’ So much for upgrading the service…my ass! Aaaarrrgh”A spokesman for Vodafone Ireland told Donegal Daily, “We were upgrading and modernising our network in Dungloe last week which resulted in some disruptions for customers – Friday through Sunday last week.“However, the upgrades will now mean that our customers in the area will now have improved voice coverage and in addition, will have 3G and 4G data.“Overall there will be a much improved experience for customers in Dungloe.“The upgrade means that customers will experience benefits such as significantly improved voice calls and get data everywhere they currently can make a voice call.“In addition, they will also have access to 4G which gives superfast mobile data speeds. This will provide benefits such as seamless music streaming, watching videos without buffering and instant file and photo upload.“All effort is being made to keep disruptions to a minimum during the upgrades across Donegal with the ultimate aim of delivering a much improved call and data experience to customers.DONEGAL VODAFONE CUSTOMERS BLAST NETWORK PROVIDER FOR ‘PATHETIC’ SERVICE was last modified: October 20th, 2015 by Mark ForkerShare this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window)Tags:donegalVodafonelast_img
