MALIN HEAD TO OPEN ITS LONG AWAITED MARINE TOURISM PROJECT IN JUNE

Pic by malinhead.netIt has been crying out for a tourism focal point for decades.And now the first steps have been taken to putting Ireland’s most northerly point on the map.The Malin Head Marine Tourism Project will be officially opened on June 16th next. The project will be opened at the Malin Head Community Association at Ballygorjman beside the Star of the Sea Church.Part of the project works will see the building of passing places along the roads leading to the headland.A disabled viewing access area and cliff top trail will allow the visitor to safely enjoy the fabulous views across to Inishtrahull island and the Scottish isles beyond.The aim of the development of facilities at Malin Head is to enhance the visitor experience and increase tourism in the area.
