Dearborn County is allowing same-sex couples to receive a wedding license.First Report (7:00 a.m.)The news that a federal judge struck down Indiana’s ban on gay marriage has prompted some same-sex couples across the state to head to their respective county clerk’s offices.A couple in Dearborn County received their wedding license on Wednesday afternoon, according to WLWT Channel 5 News.Dearborn County Clerk Mike Probst said his office will open at 8:30 a.m. Thursday for anyone wishing to obtain a wedding license.The ruling by the federal judge led some Indiana counties to automatically issue licenses on Wednesday while others waited on word from the Indiana Attorney General, including those in Ripley and Franklin County.The Indiana Attorney General has filed for an emergency stay on the ruling is planning on filing an appeal.Stay tuned to continuing coverage in this developing story.last_img read more
